FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How long does contracting take?

The part we control is fast: your producer profile is collected once and we prepare and submit the carrier packets for you. The part we do not control is carrier processing, which slows down sharply as the annual election period approaches, and a release from a current organization adds time in front of everything. We will give you a realistic picture for your specific carriers rather than a number that sounds good.

My appointment is approved but I still cannot submit. Why?

Approved and ready to sell are different states. Ready to sell needs an active license in that state, a completed and transmitted certification for that carrier, plan year, and product line, and the approved appointment, all at once. Check which one is missing at common blockers, and if it is not obvious, send us the carrier, the state, and the product line and we will look at the file.

I finished AHIP. Why does the carrier not see it?

Completion and transmission are two steps, and the second one is skipped more often than the first. AHIP has to be transmitted to each carrier that accepts it. Certification tracking here records both, so a completion with no transmission shows as a gap rather than as done. See transmitting completions to carriers.

What are the commission levels?

Levels depend on what you write, the carrier and product line, and how your structure is set up, so they are discussed directly and put in writing for you before you complete any packets rather than published as a table. What we will always tell you up front is how your level works, what moves it, whether advance or as-earned is available at each carrier, and how overrides are structured if you have a downline.

A commission is missing from my statement. What do you need?

The carrier, the application or policy number, the effective date, and the statement period you expected it in. With those four items it becomes a lookup instead of an investigation, and we chase the carrier rather than telling you to. You get the outcome either way, including when the outcome is that the carrier recorded the business differently. There is a worked reconciliation at reconciling a statement.

My carrier packet was returned. What usually causes that?

A missing signature on one page, an errors and omissions certificate that expires before the effective date, an address or name that does not match your producer record, or an unexplained gap in work history. Returns are watched for here rather than waiting for you to notice one, and the correction goes out the same way the original did. See returned and incomplete packets.

Do I have to buy leads to keep my contract or my technology?

No. Lead programs from Solved Marketing are priced and purchased separately, and nothing about your contract, your level, or your platform access depends on buying them. AgentTech Dialer and Solved Enroll access come with the contract because those are sister companies, not because you bought something else.

I am moving from another FMO. Where do I start?

With release, carrier by carrier, and with the calendar. Get your new terms in writing before you request a single release, and do not terminate an appointment you are actively writing until the replacement is approved and readiness is confirmed. The full sequence is in moving FMOs without stranding your book, and a first call is the fastest way to find out whether this is the right month.

Send the carrier, the state, and the producer. We would rather open your file than guess at the question.
